It is an area where you are allowed to make money off of the products you sell on your website, but it is also a good opportunity to build your own brand with Amazon as the distribution channel. The other side of this equation is that if an Amazon customer buys something using your recommendation, then that sale will be sent out to your own account. Well, there are various ways of estimating this figure, but one common method is simply dividing 1% of what was spent with yours by what was earned: 1% x $1 = $1…or even $0.01  (for US customers) If someone spends $10 on a product that has 0% markup, they would still receive a commission on that sale at their rate (at least until they buy an item with markup). On the other hand if they spend $20 on a “product” which has 10% markup (and none in the last 3 months), they will only receive half their agreed-upon commission ($5 or 10%). So even though they may have spent more than $20, they may only get back less than half of what they invested ($15 instead).This means that if someone spends $10 on your service (they could be one of many different people), then their purchase will likely be sent out at their 4% commission rate instead of yours (at least until they buy their next item).

If you’re an affiliate, there are going to be lots of bad things that happen in your life. You should take your time learning as much as you can about affiliate marketing before jumping into it…it will have a huge impact on your business and your life. You need to read books, learn from experts, work with people who know what they are doing (most valuable)…etc. But don’t let this discourage you from moving forward with your Amazon business!
